HR Assistant (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the Role

Amigos Meat is looking for a Bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is early in their career and eager to grow in the HR field. You will gain hands-on experience in employee relations, recruiting, payroll, and day-to-day HR operations, while helping support our Houston location and distribution centers.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the HR Manager with employee relations at the Houston location.
• Support recruitment by posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and helping with onboarding.
• Help with payroll tasks, including timesheet corrections and data entry.
• Provide bilingual support for employee communications, forms, and orientation.
• Assist with HR reporting, employee files, and compliance tracking.
• Participate in HR marketing and employee engagement initiatives.
• Handle other daily HR and office support tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Graduates encouraged to apply!
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; HRIS experience (Paycom or similar) a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $14–$17/hr (depending on experience).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
