- Answer telephone and greet applicants, managers, vendors and other visitors, directs them to appropriate department or staff member.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

Compile and type reports from employment, compensation, benefits and training records and statistics.

Tabulate interview scores of applicants interviewed for employment.

Prepare and extend temporary employment offer letters to applicants that successfully passed the interview process.

Assist supervisor in conducting salary surveys within defined labor markets.

Assist supervisor in meeting all requirements of the human resource department in an efficient and prompt manner.

Input personnel data into computer systems and generate reports from those systems.

Assist supervisor in advising employees of promotion and transfer possibilities.

Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.

Complete and submit insurance claims and related benefit documentation to the accounting department and insurance companies as assigned by the supervisor.

Provides clerical support to the human resources department.

Assist supervisor in conducting training programs, in assisting employees in understanding the job descriptions of their positions, status of employees and grievances.

May request and give telephone and written verification of employment.

Performs other duties that may be assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideally a Baccalaureate Degree in Human Resources, or equivalent plus1 year of office experience, or
-
An Associate Degree in business or a related field, plus two years of experience, or
-
College coursework in business or human resources administration plus three (3) years prior related office experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Ability to organize, prioritize work and to meet deadlines.

Computer skills, Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
This is a full-time twenty-six (26) pay period position. Performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.
