Job Description

The Human Resource Coordinator will assist the Human Resource Department with complex and specialized administrative tasks including reviewing job applications from prospective employees, managing and overseeing records, and generating reports.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with department outgoing correspondence and memorandums as needed.
  • Maintain all logs (new hire, termination, transfers, department meetings, turnover) organized in their adequate location
  • Assist in the new hire, transfer requests and orientation process through screening applicants, scheduling interviews, background checks, processing documentation, assigning employee numbers, verification of employment and system entry.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies on a regular basis. Complete purchase orders needed to replenish such supplies.
  • Maintain employee bulletin boards with current postings of policies, memos, events, or any other designated information.
  • Distribute and assist with any changes to paychecks and pay cards as needed and ensure signature page is complete from each department.
  • Create nametag and badges for new hires or replacements
  • Maintain associates information up to date by processing address changes, phone number updates, tax forms and other information
  • Manage Shoes for Crews orders
  • Assist associates in benefit enrollment and answer basic benefit questions
  • Knowledgeable of associate discounts, perks and benefits
  • Assist on a daily basis with employee relations issues
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources or 2 years of HR administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Relationship management skills.
  • Critical evaluation skills.
  • PC Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers and fax machines.
  • May be required to travel locally during business day
  • HRIS Experience preferred.
