Position: HR Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced and highly dedicated HR Coordinator with a strong background in supporting HR functions within the heavy steel industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, and safety compliance in a manufacturing environment. As an HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth management of all HR-related processes, ensuring compliance with both local and international standards, and fostering a positive work environment within our Middle East operations.
Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Staffing:
- Coordinate and support the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with department heads for candidate selection.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed, and new employees are provided with a smooth transition into the company.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment activities and new hires.
Employee Relations & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Support the management team in addressing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Organize and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building events, wellness programs, and recognition activities.
Compliance & Record-Keeping:
- Ensure adherence to local and international HR regulations, including labor laws, health and safety standards, and employee rights.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and compliant with data protection laws.
- Assist in the preparation of HR reports, audits, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Training & Development:
- Coordinate and schedule employee training sessions, including safety training, skills development programs, and leadership training.
- Track and maintain records of employee training and development activities to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development of career progression and development plans for employees.
Health, Safety, and Well-Being:
- Collaborate with the Safety Officer and management to support the implementation of workplace safety and health initiatives.
- Ensure that employees are aware of the company’s health and safety policies and procedures, including emergency response and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
- Assist with organizing health and safety training programs and ensure all employees are trained on basic safety procedures and regulations.
Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and bonuses.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll data and assist in managing compensation queries from employees.
- Provide administrative support in salary reviews and compensation adjustments.
HR Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of employee performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and other HR-related documents.
- Prepare and submit regular HR reports to management, highlighting key metrics such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and training effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements and ensure documentation is easily accessible and organized.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR coordination, preferably within the heavy steel industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and HR regulations in the Middle East region.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in HR within the heavy steel industry, with a solid understanding of HR challenges and best practices in this sector.
- Familiarity with HR software and tools, such as employee management systems and payroll software.
- Previous experience in coordinating employee health and safety programs.
