The HR Generalist will be responsible for acting as a dedicated customer service one-stop shop for designated Programs partnering with Programs and employees in the areas of staffing, employee relations, training, compliance, benefits administration, wellness and HRIS.
Essential Job Duties:

Ensure program licensing and regulatory requirements related to staffing and HR are met and maintained.

Facilitate the full cycle of employment for program staff.

Assist with management of employee relations including addressing employee concerns, investigations and documentation.

Guides Program Leaders on the application of the corrective action process, Performance Improvement Plans (PIP’s) as well as interpreting and application of company policies.

Works with assigned department to develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet current and anticipated needs including advertising strategy and staffing agency relationships, to identify and recruit qualified candidates.

Ensure proper screening and onboarding for volunteers and interns.

Responsible for benefits administration and support.

Provide regularly scheduled opportunities for staff to learn about mental health, wellness, and health education.

Facilitating program staff appreciation and recognition efforts.

Develops advertising strategies and recruitment sources to identify and recruit qualified candidates.

Facilitates the Onboarding Process-Initiates and coordinates all required documentation to complete the employment and new hire process including background checks, all compliance requirements and ensures Pre-Hire Checklist and New Hire Checklist audit logs are secured and updated regularly.

Responsible for data input and data integrity for the HRIS platform.

Participates in company-wide Human Resource projects, taking project lead or other roles as assigned.

BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a human resource generalist role.

Requires knowledge of human resource management, principles and practices and practical knowledge of employment law.

PHR or SPHR certification is desirable.

Demonstrate high sense of urgency in fulfilling responsibilities.

Possess good judgement and ability to make timely and sound decisions.

Able to drive to Program site and be onsite two days at Phoenix and two days at Mesa location.

Must be at least 21 years of age

Must possess or able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software products (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of position.
