We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department and help ensure smooth daily operations, compliance, and positive employee experiences.

Position Summary

(Part Time)

The Human Resources Assistant supports the hotel’s HR department by maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, supporting payroll coordination, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about people operations, organization, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Assist with recruitment, job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training schedules for new hires
  • Maintain employee files, I-9s, and personnel records in compliance with legal requirements
  • Payroll processing and timekeeping through ADP Workforce Now
  • Assist with employee benefits enrollment and general HR inquiries
  • Help manage employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Prepare HR reports and assist during audits or inspections
  • Track attendance, PTO, disciplinary actions, and performance documentation
  • Support offboarding and termination documentation

Administrative Support

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to HR leadership
  • Maintain HR documentation, digital filing systems, and confidential records
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, trainings, and internal communications
  • Prepare internal memos, policies, and employee notices
  • Maintain HR calendars and follow-up trackersand payroll allocations.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources, or Administrative support (hospitality experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, payroll systems, or basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or M3) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
