Summary:

The Human Resource Assistant supports the daily functions of our HR Department. The Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for administrative tasks, recruitment, maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supports the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientations and ensuring smooth transition for new employees.
  • Assists in benefits administration, including enrollments, changes and employee inquiries. This includes updating UKG with deduction information as well as benefit provider’s informational system with employee elections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation
  • Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures and benefit
  • Managing and updating employees on Paid Family Medical Leave
  • Respond to Unemployment letters and verification of employment.
  • Respond to medical insurance letters from Washington marketplace. Properly following up with the state on medical offerings
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resource Director, supervisor and other team members.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Familiarity with HR software and payroll systems.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Current Driver's license

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Microsoft office knowledge: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is:

  • Regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
