Human Resources Assistant
Reports to: Chief People Officer

Position Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role will support the HR department with a focus on administrative tasks and recruiting activities. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and interested in building a career in HR.
Responsibilities
- Lead CWO’s recruitment strategy
- Lead all hiring team meetings
- Post job openings on internal and external job boards.
- Screen resumes, conduct phone screenings, and coordinate interview schedules with candidates and hiring managers.
- Attend in-person interviews as HR representative
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Passive talent recruiting
- Attend college career fairs and events.
- Follow up offer requests with verbal and written offer letters
- Lead on criminal and FCSR background screenings.
- Deploy Paycor onboarding to new hires
- Facilitate first day new hire orientation
- Order new hire ID badges
- Deploy new hire survey and monitor feedback
- Schedule meetings, interviews, and other HR-related appointments.
- Prepare HR reports and other internal communications.
- Support benefits enrollment and respond to basic employee inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws by maintaining accurate records.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in an HR, recruiting, or administrative support role (internships or part-time work acceptable).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite and comfort with HRIS or applicant tracking systems is a plus.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the HR field.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel as needed, this includes travel to the various CWO locations as well as travel to offsite locations for career fairs and other recruiting events.
- Frequent periods of intense concentration, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle mental and physical strain involved with use of printed materials and prolonged use of computer screens.
- Long periods of sitting and/or standing may be required.
- Ability to lift and move 25 pounds is required.
