What you will do:
As our Human Resources Assistant, you will handle administrative and supportive HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration, while ensuring compliance with employment laws, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding the highest level of confidentiality. In this role you will:
Assist in Talent Acquisition as directed by VP Talent Acquisition
Monitor job postings in ATS and related job board platforms
Assist candidates and hiring managers
Monitor the Hiring and Career email inboxes and texting platform; respond to applicant inquiries promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate notes and statuses in the ATS
Provide ATS-related technical support to candidates and hiring managers; escalate issues to the vendor as needed
Coordinate and schedule video and in-person interviews
Initiate and monitor the completion of background checks
Upload all relevant documents from ATS to electronic document retention platform
Send bilingual assessments, prescreen and interview reminders; follow up to ensure completion
Support weekly payroll
Enter changes in HRIS
Review timesheets for errors and contact managers if needed
Provide second review of payroll
Commit payroll and run/distribute all required payroll reports
Process 401(k) file upload and funding
Provide support with new employee onboarding
Enter new hires in HRIS/Payroll platform
Complete New Hire Reporting
Send new employee documents for signature via Docusign
Collect/review documents for I-9s and completion in E-Verify
Assist with benefits administration
Monitor for new hire enrollments
Provide support during annual open enrollment
Provide guidance on benefit questions from employees
Provide guidance for FMLA and Short-Term Benefit applications
Assist with creating and running reports in the HRIS
Provide support with quarterly turnover reports
Responsible for maintaining accurate human resource records and documents
Complete Verification of Employment requests
Upload documents to electronic storage platform
Monitor HR related social media posts (Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.) and perform other job-related duties and assist with department projects as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources
Experience with HRIS/payroll and ATS platforms
Working knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.)
Understanding of payroll processing, report writing within the HRIS platform and retirement savings plans
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to take direction
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to manage confidential information with the utmost discretion
Comfortable working with multiple cloud-based platforms
Preference will be given to those who have:
2-year or 4-year degree in Human Resources or related field
PHR or SHRM-CP certification (in lieu of degree)
3+ years of HR experience
Experience with Dayforce
