Human Resources Assistant

Position Overview:

The Human Resources Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s daily operations. With a high level of autonomy, this role will assist with the lifecycle of HR tasks, including candidate interviews, onboarding new employees, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to the success of FORGE Global.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the recruiting process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions and postings in the applicant tracking system (Indeed and excel).
  • Conduct reference checks, assist with candidate background checks, drug tests and DOT verification.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Create new hire announcements and set up profiles in the HR Information System (QuickBooks and Paychex).
  • Respond to Unemployment and Insurance Requests.
  • Document and monitor Disciplinary Actions.
  • Assist in payroll preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Address frequently asked questions from applicants and employees and refer complex inquiries to HR or management.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of employee and HR files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Support the development, implementation, and improvement of a company-wide performance management system.
  • Assist in distributing policies and employee communications as directed by Management.
  • Provide clerical support to office Management.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.
  • Ensure staff compliance with corporate training, policies, procedures, and standards of behavior.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of staffing/recruiting or human resources experience
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
