Human Resources Assistant - Millsboro, DE

Primary Purpose:
The Human Resources Assistant provides essential support to the Employee Relations Manager and plays a key role in daily HR operations. This role serves as a primary point of contact for hourly and salaried employees, staffing agencies, and candidates—offering guidance, information, and exceptional customer service. The position supports a wide range of administrative and HR functions to ensure smooth, efficient operations across the complex.
Schedule:
  • Split shift: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM.
  • Some Saturday work based on plant operations.
  • Occasional overtime as needed.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and accurate information to internal and external customers.
  • Perform data entry and maintain employee records in Oracle HCM, UKG, and Oracle 12c.
  • Support daily HR administration, including documentation, recordkeeping, and employee inquiries.
  • Assist the Employee Relations Manager with routine tasks, follow‑ups, and special projects.
  • Serve as a reliable, approachable resource for employees, staffing partners, and candidates throughout the day.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Clerical or administrative experience required.
  • Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities and a professional, welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with databases and common HR systems.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work some Saturdays and occasional overtime.
