Human Resources Assistant

Job Description

The Human Resources Associate to support our Human Resources department. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records
  • Update internal databases (attendance, rosters, termination, etc.)
  • Prepare HR documents (offer letters, written warnings, performance, etc.)
  • Create regular reports on HR metrics
  • Answer employees queries about HR-related issues
  • Review and process timesheets
  • Handle new hire paperwork, uniforms, timeclocks, etc.
  • Conducting new employee orientations
  • Data Entry
  • Other tasks as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Minimum of 2yrs experience working in human resources
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
  • Knowledge of database software, email systems, and Microsoft office software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Empathy and an approachable demeanor.
  • Detail oriented, attentiveness and honesty.

Education and Experience

  • 2-year degree preferred with background in business or HR or an equivalent time worked in the HR field

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
