Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) team is focused on what people need and how to provide it. This role is perfect for a people person who wants to use their strong organizational skills, and intelligence to make an impact on our employees. We’re searching for a qualified and resourceful human resources team member to support our department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations, and employee support. This role works to do both administrative and operational responsibilities related to all areas of Human Resources and Payroll.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Processes Actions in HRIS system related to benefits, W-4, direct deposit, hiring actions, termination actions and other administrative processes

  • Assists in administration of health and welfare plans, including initial enrollments, and changes, ensuring proper documentation and notifications have occurred.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Completes I-9 reverification and maintenance of documentation for current employees.
  • Submits online background requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Files documents into appropriate electronic employee files.
  • Assists or prepares communications as requested.
  • Assists employees and managers with account access challenges for a variety of systems including but not limited to UKG(Payroll & HRIS), Empower (401(k),

· Completes offboarding processing for HR department related to payroll, benefits and separation letters accurately and efficiently.

· Ownership of Bi-annual anniversary certificates program.

· Tracking of car insurance and accident details.

· Plans and executes a limited list of company events for the locations near the company Headquarters.

· Open enrollment administrative ownership, including packet preparation, and action processing in HRIS system.

· Completes annual HR related compliance poster order process.

· Partners with Safety manager to provide OSHA Work hours/Avg hours for Safety to complete OSHA 300.

  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors in all areas of HR.

· Maintains compliance with federal, state (WA, OR, MT, ID), and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· High school diploma/GED required.

· Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field preferred.

· 3 years of human resources experience preferred.

· SHRM-CP strongly preferred.

Work environment

The environment is primarily an office setting, with some need to be in a manufacturing environment.

Physical demands

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Travel required.

Only local travel related to personal development, and worksite visits within 5 miles.

Pay range: $24.04-31.25; $50,000-65,000 annualized depending on experience, education, and certification

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
