Human Resources Coordinator

Overview

Perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the People department functions.


Education & Experience Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ office experience, education in lieu of professional experience may be considered.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources documentation within the human resource information system (HRIS), and all other records, files, and platforms.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes. Refers more complex questions to more senior-level HR staff.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Performs tasks related to the hiring processes including, but not limited to, scheduling and facilitating assessments/interviews, conducting background and reference checks, and running new employee orientation
  • Provides clerical support to the People department
  • Audits PTO requests and works with leaders to ensure correct documentation of planned and unplanned PTO.
  • Assists with processing of corrective action and terminations.
  • May be required to perform EEO1, AAP and VETS4212 reporting.
  • Coordinates, documents, and maintains process mapping and improvements.
  • Assists with non-production, internship and biddable recruiting and hiring.
  • Assists applicants with technology needs during the application process.
  • Processes moves within the company.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Fast-paced office environment within a manufacturing facility.
  • Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime may sometimes be required.
  • Will meet with employees and provide tours, as necessary, on the production floors of all plants.
