Human Resources Coordinator

Winthrop & Weinstine is seeking an energetic and driven Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Coordinator will perform daily functions of the Human Resources Department, including providing assistance with recruiting & onboarding, maintenance of human resources information system(s), partnership with payroll to ensure time card accuracy, and enforcing Winthrop & Weinstine’s policies and practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Including, but not limited to):
HR Administration
- Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
- Partner with managers and payroll to review and process the closing of weekly time cards.
- Partner with Payroll Specialist to ensure time card and payroll accuracy.
- Maintain and update employee personnel files.
- Process new hire, termination, and employee status change documentation.
- Help maintain human resources information systems (HRIS) and processes.
- Ensure I-9 compliance and employment verification.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and support annual open enrollment process.
- Assist with HR reporting and auditing
- Support HR projects and annual processes as needed.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.
Recruiting & Onboarding Support
- Assist recruiting coordinator with the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Create new hire orientation schedules, process new employee workflow, initiate electronic new hire paperwork and other responsibilities to prepare for a successful first day of employment.
- Communicate firm policies and procedures during administrative orientations, set-up personnel accounts in HRIS and train on time card entry for non-attorney staff.

- Job duties may require time over 37.50 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED:
- Four year degree in human resources or relevant field; or equivalent human resources experience.
- Excellent computer and communication skills, including experience with MS Office.
- Extensive experience with HRIS’.
- Outstanding grammar, proofreading skills, and a keen eye for detail, ensuring high levels of accuracy in all written communications and document preparation.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring completion of assignments despite frequent interruptions and changes in schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS, PREFERRED:
- Experience in a legal office.
- Experience with the following software: iManage, InTapp, Paycor.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Requires use of office equipment, such as computers, phones, and copiers.
- Requires sitting and computer-related activities for extended periods of time.
- Requires occasional lifting up to and exceeding 20 pounds.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $50,000 - $61,000 annually.
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Winthrop & Weinstine reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
