Human Resources Director

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR initiatives and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all facets of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational design, and compliance with employment laws. Your leadership will drive strategic planning and program development to support our company's growth and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in HRIS systems, labor law compliance, and senior leadership collaboration. This is a startup position, so please be aware that this is a open contract role.

Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on talent management, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts by overseeing sourcing strategies, interviewing processes, and onboarding programs to attract top talent.
  • Manage employee relations by resolving conflicts, conducting employee evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment through effective communication skills.
  • Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws such as FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), workers' compensation policies, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee benefits administration including health insurance, retirement plans, payroll processing through systems like Workday, ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, Kronos, UltiPro, Taleo, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, Ceridian or similar platforms.
  • Supervise HR teams responsible for training & development programs, employee orientation sessions, performance management processes, and HR sourcing initiatives.
  • Implement process improvements in HR operations utilizing data analysis skills to enhance efficiency in HRIS systems such as Dayforce or similar platforms.
  • Manage HR program management activities including change management projects and organizational restructuring efforts.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an HR leader with supervising experience in managing multidisciplinary teams within a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of human resources management practices including employment law (FMLA, OSHA), benefits administration, conflict management, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated success in talent acquisition strategies utilizing ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) like Taleo or similar tools such as Lever or Greenhouse.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors or equivalent platforms for data collection and analysis.
  • Experience with performance management frameworks and employee evaluation processes aligned with strategic planning objectives.
  • Skilled in negotiation and contract management related to employment agreements and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present to senior leadership and facilitate training & development initiatives.
  • Ability to manage budgets related to HR programs while ensuring compliance with legal standards like OSHA regulations. Pay: $70,327.44 - $84,695.41 per year
