The HR Generalist is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations of HR processes and functions. This role maintains employee records, supports recruitment and onboarding, manages employee programs and ensures compliance with applicable employment laws and organizational policies.
Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle recruitment, including posting jobs, screening applicants, coordinating interviews.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
- Prepare and maintain onboarding materials, including new hire paperwork, background checks, credential tracking, and policy acknowledgments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential files in compliance with agency policies and employment laws.
- Supports employee engagement efforts.
- Oversee the off-boarding process ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements, conduct exit interviews and identify trends for retention strategies.
- Participate in audits, licensing reviews, or accreditation processes.
- Maintain/submit appropriate credentialing documents for licensed staff
- Represent the agency when engaging in community events.
- Maintain HR databases and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with HR processes including recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage diverse populations.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with behavioral health services, Medicaid processes, and HIPAA compliance preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources and referral systems a plus.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and/or Microsoft Office and EHR systems.
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
