Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist supports employees, leaders, and potential employees, and applicants by providing assistance, support, and highly effective HR transactions, including recruitment, applicant management, onboarding, representing RMHC in alignment with our Employer of Choice strategy. Additionally, the generalist ensures accurate documentation and data input, ensuring data integrity within the human resources information system (HRIS).
Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs routine tasks required to effectively administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management; occupational health and safety

Leverages the HRIS to support effective HR practices, data integrity, and compliance, performing data entry, writing reports, and running reports as needed

Support RMHC providers application for credentialing by obtaining, forwarding, receiving, and submitting the necessary documentation, monitor credentialing status, advise as needed of any required updates to maintain appropriate credentialing and serve as a liaison with all relevant internal and other parties to coordinate the entire credentialing process

Assists with recruiting, interviews, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions

Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications

Implements new hire orientation, ensuring a positive employee experience

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate leaders

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

Supports RMHC leaders as a resource in effective supervisory practices, as reflected in the RMHC “Management Mirror” model

Assist Payroll clerk as needed

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

At least two- five years of human resources, payroll and/or benefits administration experience preferred.

2-5 years of proven HR Generalist experience, with demonstrated exposure and emphasis on employee relations matters.
