HR Generalist
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective: The Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation (FAHF) is looking for an HR Generalist to assist in managing various human resources functions of an organization. They are responsible for implementing HR programs, policies, and procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The main objective of an HR Generalist is to support the organization's employees and ensure that they are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. They will also be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing employees. The HR Generalist will serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related matters.
Essential Functions:
· Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with state, federal, and local labor laws and company policies
· Manage the recruitment and selection process, including creating job descriptions, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating job offers
· Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs
· Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process
· Handle employee relations issues including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievance procedures and confidential investigations in compliance with state and federal laws.
· Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
· Assist with performance management processes including goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans
· Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
· Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters
· Stay up to date on changes in labor laws and regulations, and ensure the company's HR policies and procedures remain compliant
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
· 5+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources
· Strong knowledge of HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Experience working with HR software and systems
· Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
· Bilingual-Spanish strongly preferred.

· Extent Flexibility — The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,560.00 - $76,960.00 per year
