How You Will Contribute:

The Human Resource Generalist supports the daily functions of human resource department for highly specialized mental health treatment centers operating along a full continuum of care in multiple locations throughout the state. Duties include recruitment support, orientation and onboarding, employee file management, human resources regulatory compliance and reporting, supporting training and development initiatives, employee engagement, performance management, supporting payroll and compensation management, and policy interpretation and guidance. The Human Resource Generalist provides internal customer service providing information to employees, interns, and contractors regarding policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the implementation and administration of human resource related initiatives under the direction of network leadership.
  • Consistently models and champions core values and service standards, treatment philosophy and 5-star service.
  • Acts as the primary point of internal customer service for facility employees related to performance management, HRIS, LMS, payroll, and benefits access.
  • Supports employees and leaders with performance management and employee relations matters in a neutral and unbiased manner.
  • Responds to inquiries in a timely manner, escalating items through appropriate channels, as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential personnel records ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with maintaining HRIS ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and compiles reports from database, as needed.
  • Coordinates and facilitates new employee/intern orientation and onboarding processes, ensuring the process is welcoming of new hires, intentionally designed, and effectively promoted, as necessary.
  • Supports leaders in the timely completion of performance and competency reviews.
  • Assists with benefits administration to include reporting, enrollments, terminations and responding to workers compensation requests.
  • Maintains the payroll change sheet ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintains organizational charts, distribution lists, and contact documents for the network.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and professional licensure.
  • Monitors dates for compliance with competency assessment dates, certifications, license, etc.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts utilizing applicant tracking system, places internal and external job announcements, as needed.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical and Compliance teams to ensure all training and development plans/activities meet compliance/accreditation needs while positively contributing to employee development.

What We Are Seeking:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources or related field, preferably within a healthcare setting. PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.

  • Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • CPR and first aid certification, or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.


For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against companies of similar size within the behavioral healthcare industry. To be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
