POSITION SUMMARY

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct all administrative tasks in a timely fashion through conducting employment references on all qualified/screened applicants. Attend weekly walk-ins and screens applications for complete information. Schedule screening interviews and drug testing appointments for recruiters.
Provide administration for various areas including but not limited to; drug testing, associate counseling, benefits explanation, job offers, etc.
Perform all clerical duties including but not limited to non-routine faxing/mail distribution, telephone coverage for overflow, reception coverage during absence of receptionist, filing, and associate verifications.
Handle all employment verification in a timely fashion and in accordance with property policy.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions.
Enforce property safety standards.
Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.
Coordinate annual open enrollment activities.
Prepare job postings and job line announcements as needed to inform internal and external candidates of available positions.
Answer telephones, resolve associate concerns and advise Director or Manager of Human Resources of any EEO or fairness issues, provide clerical support, etc.
Assist with special projects as needed.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Ability to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. One to two years experience in Human Resources related positions. Prior hotel experience preferred.

GROOMING
All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards available).

OTHER
Upon employment all associates are required to comply with the standards, rules and regulations which may be established by the Company and updated from time to time. Associates who violate property rules or have irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

The Hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime to reflect the business needs of the property. Associates may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
