HR Generalist

Location: Phoenix, AZ (In-person) Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

Position Overview:

As the HR Generalist, you will serve as a key resource in assisting with core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and internal documentation. You will also support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently. This is a vital role that helps shape a positive and compliant workplace environment while supporting both employees and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support employee relations including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation
  • Assist with keeping accurate HRIS records including new hire documentation, benefits, status changes, and attendance
  • Draft official internal documents such as offer letters, disciplinary notices, etc
  • Conduct exit interviews and share findings with leadership for continuous improvement
  • Provide general HR support to employees and leadership on a daily basis

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation (ADA, FMLA, EEOC, FLSA, Title VII)
  • Proficient in HR systems and databases
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred but not required
