The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting daily HR functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR program execution to ensure an engaged and high-performing workforce. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with leadership to uphold company policies, promote a culture of respect, and drive continuous improvement in HR practices.

Your Impact:

Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions, ensuring alignment with company needs.

Partners with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate qualifications prior to posting open positions.

Conducts background checks and pre-employment drug screens, if applicable, verifies employment eligibility.

Assist with or facilitate new hire orientation to ensure seamless integration into company culture.

Data entry of new hires into the HRIS system.
-
Stays abreast and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Monitors and tracks required training programs, including safety, anti-harassment, and professional certifications.

Disseminate updates to HR policies which align with industry best practices and legal requirements.

May oversee scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of HR administrative support staff.

Advises employees and supervisors on HR policies, workplace expectations, and conflict resolution.

Supports disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations while ensuring fairness and consistency.

May assist with performance evaluations and employee development initiatives.

Promotes a culture of respect and accountability aligned with Moore’s values.

Assists in the administration of compensation, benefits, leave, and employee recognition programs.

Contributes to morale-boosting initiatives to enhance employee engagement.

Collaborates with leadership on workforce planning and retention strategies.

Partners with the safety committee to support workplace safety initiatives.

Encourages an inclusive work environment and participates in any programs that support employee belonging efforts.

Ensure bi-weekly timesheet approval, PTO submission and other payroll-related entries.

Maintains knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.

Complete wage verifications and unemployment inquiries.

Assists employees with navigation of company websites and portals.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Your Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of one year of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

SHRM or HRCI Certification is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual a plus.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
-
Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn HRIS systems.
