ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Processes new-hire employees, including entering employee information into the HRIS system and tracking new hires.
Assists with onboarding of new employees.
Responsible for updating employee records in the HRIS system.
Produces new employee badges and replacement badge requests.
Assists with Benefits maintenance and education opportunities.
Performs regular updates to the online mileage tool and ensures each employee’s auto insurance is current.
Assists with the monitoring of the performance review and clinical supervision process.
Files and scans documents into appropriate confidential employee files.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Makes photocopies, faxes documents, and performs other clerical functions.
Completes employment verifications as needed.
Participates in file audits to ensure accuracy and completion of all required documentation in employee records.
May provide back up to the front desk office assistants.
Follows policies and procedures and adheres to the requirements of the Corporate Compliance Program.
Ensures confidentiality of verbal and written information in accordance with HIPAA standards and Southwest Network policy, and adheres to the legal, ethical and professional guidelines adopted by Southwest Network.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
Requires an associate degree in business, human resources or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Two years’ experience in human resources, preferrable in healthcare.
Must maintain a valid Arizona state fingerprint clearance card.
Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS
Requires a thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of human resources operations.
Requires knowledge of staff and organizational training needs, as well as internal and external training resources.
Must support productive working relationships in accomplishing goals and objectives.
Requires a high level of integrity and the use of discretion and judgment in both internal and external contacts, with the ability to deal effectively with both management and line staff.
Must be able to effectively communicate and administer sound policies, rules and practices that treat staff with dignity and equality, while maintaining compliance with all employment and labor laws and company directives.
Must be able to maintain excellent employee relationships and provide excellent customer service.
Must be highly organized and have solid decision making and effective problem-solving skills.
Must have effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Must be competent in the use of electronic medical records software, as well as in the use of a computer, printer, copier, and telephone. Preferred typing skills of 25 to 40 WPM. Occasional use of fax machines, security systems, and other office equipment.
Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel, including complex spreadsheets, and be able to learn new software
Must be able to effectively use the internet and various web browsers.
