We’re looking for a driven and organized Human Resources Generalist to join us onsite in Tempe, AZ. In this role, you’ll help shape the employee experience and build the people processes that support our continued growth and success. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building processes, and is passionate about creating great employee experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


You’ll support key areas of HR including talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, employee engagement, and process development. This is an in-person position that offers hands-on collaboration, visibility across departments, and the opportunity to grow your HR career within a supportive and evolving organization.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
  • Own and continuously improve the onboarding process to ensure new hires feel welcomed and prepared.
  • Coordinate offboarding logistics and exit interviews.
Talent Acquisition Support:
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate job postings, screen candidates, and schedule interviews and conduct reference checks.
  • Support a positive and efficient candidate experience.
Benefits Administration:
  • Support benefits enrollment and changes, respond to employee questions, and coordinate with vendors.
  • Ensure a smooth and informative benefits experience for all employees.
Process Building & Optimization:
  • Identify and implement improvements to HR workflows, documentation, and systems.
  • Help build scalable processes that support a growing organization.
Employee Engagement:
  • Assist in planning and executing initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  • Support employee recognition, surveys, and internal communications.
HR Compliance & Recordkeeping
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist with audits and reporting requirements (e.g., EEO-1, ACA, OSHA logs).
Performance Management Support
  • Coordinate performance review cycles and help managers with goal setting and feedback processes.
  • Track completion and follow up on performance documentation.

Requirements:


Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years in an HR generalist or similar role, preferably in a growing or fast-paced company
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-driven

  • Familiar with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Wilson Engineers, LLC is one of Arizona’s leading design and construction management firms specializing in the various engineering disciplines required for water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and electrical infrastructure.
