Human Resources Generalist

The HR Generalist is a key role that will have employee relations, payroll, FMLA, safety, onboarding, and benefits responsibilities. Join our exciting and growing company as we expand Fitt, Inc in the U.S.A. Working closely with the HR Manager, the HR Generalist is part of an HR function that supports the organization's goals while fostering a positive workplace culture.

  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality and privacy in all employee matters.
  • Maintain confidential employee files and ensure employee information is complete.
  • Act as a resource to provide information to team members on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Provide input in implementing new policies and procedures to foster continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Process payroll bi-weekly with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Administratively support USA-wide processes
  • Participate in compliance reporting and administration as needed
  • Participate in safety and OSHA administrative duties.
  • Use HR technology to improve the employee experience and HR service efficiency.
  • Support employee safety, health, and wellness initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have 5 or more years’ experience in an HR role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or HR.
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience with payroll processing and online benefits administration.
  • Ability to learn new software, eg, for entry of benefits data, payroll and safety reporting.
  • Strong ability to remain organized and multi-task, while re-prioritizing tasks as business needs change.
  • Ability to read, speak and understand both verbal and written English language.
  • Error-free attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • High EQ, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive mindset and approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED

  • OSHA experience.
  • Experience with ADP WFN [WorkForce Now].
