Position Overview
Holder Construction Company, an Atlanta-based commercial construction company with operations throughout the United States, is seeking a highly motivated Regional Human Resource Generalist to join our HR team.
As a HR Coordinator, you will assist with HR functions across multiple construction sites within a designated region or at a large mega project location. This role is essential in supporting HR initiatives with the regional/project leadership and workforce. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HR practices within the construction industry and experience in supporting the implementation of effective HR strategies.
This role will be onsite in our Herndon, VA office.

Able to travel regularly within the region and nationally to visit local sites and other regional Key Responsibilities

Recruiting and Onboarding

Support regional interview process.

Attend regional hiring events & escalate local opportunities (Experienced, College, & Field Associates). Identify/Confirm other associates to attend when needed.

Partner with regional/project/department to ensure execution of integration playbook.

Employee Relations
-
Support team through disciplinary performance and policy conversations including documentation, follow up, etc.

Partner with Atlanta HR team on local investigations and subcontractor situations (complete onsite investigations and statements when needed).

Complete exit interviews for the region. Work with Atlanta HR on trends and approach to lessons learned.

Training and Development

Partner with regional/project/dept training champions & managers to ensure execution of training playbook.

Ensure regional/project leader awareness for participants in Company training programs.

Complete regular check-ins with project team to assess execution of team development strategy.

Performance Management

Track new hire follow up conversations.

Escalate ongoing needs for coaching/feedback discussions.

Track merit/bonus process completion; follow up and support as needed.

Company and Regional Events

Partner with regional leadership on regional/jobsite event planning.

Additional Responsibilities

Foster environment of care and support for all associates. Share and support our culture. Connect associates and leaders with company resources.

Collect and share trends and best practices.

Regular visits to local projects to stay connected to team. Escalate potential situations to monitor when needed.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

3+ years HR experience required. Construction industry experience a plus.

Strong organization, communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Proficiency in HRIS and other HR management software. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency preferred
