Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and HR policy implementation. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment laws.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct background checks and reference checks
  • Facilitate onboarding
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and candidate records
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions
  • Payroll weekly payroll for 4 companies
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Support audits and reporting requirements
  • Assist with workplace safety and compliance initiatives
  • Cover the front desk
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of HR experience (generalist or specialist level)
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systems
