Position Summary:

Freezing Point is the fastest growing frozen beverage company in the US and the maker of Frazil, 100% Juice Frazil, Frazil Energy, and Café Tango! We are a growing, high-performance team in search of an HR Generalist ready to hit the ground running and make an impact.

Pay Range: $70,000 -$80,000

This is a fully onsite position located in Salt Lake City, UT.

Key Responsibilities

Every day at Frazil is different, and the HR Team is no exception. We're a roll-up-your sleeves group providing broad support to a nationwide employee base. Frazil's HR Generalist plays a key role in managing and owning specialty areas of HR. Examples include:

  • Managing the onboarding process for new hires including HRIS management, onboarding paperwork, and in-person orientation.
  • Directing the completion of open enrollment and benefit training.
  • Providing support throughout the payroll process including timekeeping system updates, PTO management, and reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate HR data and help to compile and report on HR analytics including turnover, quality of hire, and employee satisfaction.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state legal regulations including labor laws, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Partnering with our out-of-state PEO company to support our nationwide employee base.
  • Helping to build and manage the company intranet including the maintenance of HR pages, new updates, and contributing to the HR forum.
  • Helping to maintain the company feedback system including the management of weekly check-ins, 30/60/90-day reviews, and performance reviews.
  • Partnering with managers to address employee performance issues, providing guidance on coaching, documentation, and corrective action plans.
  • Advising leadership on disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Supporting employee investigations, including gathering facts, interviewing involved parties, and documenting findings.
  • Managing the full termination process, including preparing documentation, advising managers, and conducting termination meetings with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Serving as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution.
  • Supporting audits, reporting, and regulatory filings (e.g., EEO, OSHA, etc.).
  • Training employees and hiring managers in assigned areas of expertise and helping to create and conduct trainings on new content.
  • Supporting performance review processes and goal-setting initiatives.
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of employee events.
  • Performing additional HR duties and special projects as assigned to support evolving business needs

Minimum Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 3+ years working in a corporate/office setting in a related field (HR, Administration, Payroll, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO).
  • Experience handling employee relations issues, including performance management and terminations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English fluency).
  • PHR or SHRM certification.
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs and supporting open enrollment processes.
  • Experience with payroll processing, coordination, or working closely with payroll systems and vendors.
