DESCRIPTION
This position assists the Human Resources Generalist to lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Establishes and maintains employee records following guidelines for record retention policies - organized
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
- Must be a team leader and work with all levels of employees
- Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
- Manage Benefit Administrations, schedule offer meetings and annual open enrollment
- Prepare daily packages to be mailed out
- Orders and distributes office and store supplies for all 3 stores
- Keep updated records of office expenses
- Order, assign and keep stock of uniforms
- Assist with preparation of Human Resources reports, such as attendance, census, authorized drivers, birthday and anniversary reports
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independent
- Proofreads and types documents and correspondence produced by department.
- May assist with preparation of human resource reports
- Prepares purchase orders for human resource office.
- Assist in HR projects, meetings, trainings, and new hire orientation
- Develops training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees are successful in their job responsibilities.
- Assist on employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite & Paycom
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or HRCI highly desired.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate the company facilities.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license.
WORK AVAILABILITY:
- Must be regularly available and willing to work at least 8 to 12 hours per day, at a minimum of 45 hours per week, or such other hours per day or weeks as management determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
