Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including employee relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and policy implementation. This role works closely with leadership and employees to ensure HR processes run efficiently while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of 2–4 years of HR experience. Certification such as SHRM-CP is a plus but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and assist in updating company policies and procedures accordingly.

· Prepare and submit required HR documentation and support compliance-related reporting and recordkeeping.

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

· Proficient with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/talent management systems.

· Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes; communicate updates to leadership and employees as needed.

· Support initiatives that promote and sustain the company’s core values and workplace culture.

· Partner with leadership to support recruiting, retention, and employee engagement efforts.

· Assist with the talent acquisition process, including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.

· Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and positive new hire experience.

· Provide guidance and support to employees and supervisors on HR-related questions, policies, and procedures.

· Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs; support benefits enrollment and respond to employee inquiries.

· Help resolve employee benefit issues and maintain accurate benefits records.

· Support open enrollment by preparing and distributing materials and assisting employees with the process.

· Assist with employee relations matters, including documentation, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

· Support performance management processes, including employee evaluations and tracking.

· Help implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace satisfaction and productivity.

· Collaborate with other departments to support HR-related needs and organizational goals.

· Represent the organization at job fairs, career events, and community activities to support recruiting efforts.

· Participate in local HR groups or professional organizations to stay current on industry practices.

· Support company leadership in promoting the organization’s mission and values.
Perform other duties as assigned related to HR functions.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
