To further our mission we are looking for a Human Resources Generalist.
Position Overview:
The HR Generalist is responsible for a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. The HR Generalist acts as a key point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR inquiries and fostering a positive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain talent acquisition functions through Paycor Recruiting which includes the maintenance of job postings, screening/phone interviews, and disseminating qualified applicants to hiring managers
- Assist the Director of HR with employee relations, ADA accommodations, workplace investigations, workers compensation and unemployment compensation
- Serve as the main point of contact for all employee benefit inquiries
- Coordinate all aspects of the annual open enrollment process
- Lead talent development and learning activities. Identify training needs and coordinating development plans in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Assist the Director of HR with employee relations, ADA accommodations, workplace investigations, workers compensation and unemployment compensation
- Serve as a backup for processing payroll
- Assist with coordinating staff events
- Participate in career fairs and work force development initiatives
- Assist with compiling the annual EEO-1 survey data
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred. High school diploma required
- At least two years of related experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication for effective interactions with employees and management
- Ability to convey policies, procedures, and updates clearly
- Empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution to handle employee concerns
- Efficient multitasking, time management, and prioritization to manage multiple HR functions
- Analytical thinking to address employee issues, performance concerns, or policy violations
- Sound judgment for resolving disputes, hiring decisions, or policy adjustments
- Maintaining privacy and handling sensitive employee information responsibly
