The Human Resources (HR) Generalist supports and executes a range of human resources activities, combining strong operational coordination experience with growing advisory and employee-facing responsibilities. The HR Generalist will be responsible to support some core HR functions, including HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance with the federal and state regulations, benefits administration, and performance management. This role will support a multi-location workforce, ensuring HR best practices are implemented to foster a positive and productive work environment. The HR Generalist performs administrative, coordinatization and planning duties to support effective HR operations.
Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding

Lead full-cycle recruitment for open positions, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Develop job descriptions, post roles, and screen candidates.

Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a seamless transition into the company.
Benefits & Leave Administration

Oversee U.S. benefits administration, including healthcare, 401(k), disability, and wellness programs.

Manage employee enrollments, changes, and terminations while working closely with benefits brokers and providers.

Serve as an expert on U.S. leave policies, including FMLA, STD, LTD, and state-specific leave programs.

Educate employees on compensation, benefits, and leave entitlements.
PR System & Reporting

Assists with data maintenance and integrity of the HR/PR system.

Runs reports routinely or as necessary to analyze data for ongoing issues, projects, or functions.
Payroll & HR Systems

Assist with payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely compensation, including bonuses, commissions, and PTO tracking.

Maintain and manage HRIS systems (ADP preferred), ensuring accurate employee records and data integrity(hires, terminations, changes, leaves, etc.).

Generate HR reports and analytics to support business decisions.
Employee Relations & Compliance

Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, handling issues tactfully and escalating when necessary.

Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, EEO, and other federal and state employment laws.

Conduct and support HR compliance audits to ensure alignment with legal requirements and company policies.

Ensure employee files are compliant, maintain/review/update completed job descriptions and training documentation.

Guide managers and employees on HR policies, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
Policy Administration & Office Management

Act as a key point of contact for HR compliance, employment law, and workplace regulations.

Oversee office management tasks to support a productive and engaging work environment.

Support year-end processes, including reporting, benefits renewals, and compliance audits.

Partner with leadership to update, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
Other HR related tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

3-5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on U.S. benefits, compliance, and employee relations.

Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and ability to ensure regulatory compliance.

Experience with HRIS systems (ADP preferred).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee matters with professionalism.

Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-
Experience managing 150+ employees is a plus.
