Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Department seeks a 3/4-time (32 hours per week) HR Generalist, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, who will support the full employee lifecycle and plays a key role in delivering a consistent, high-quality employee experience at Waterford School. The HR Generalist partners closely with leadership and employees to ensure HR practices align with organizational goals, are applied consistently, and support a positive, professional workplace culture.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth and professional experience
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, and general HR matters
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records and documentation
  • Assist in developing and improving HR processes to create consistency across the organization
  • Support employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee questions
  • Support compensation processes and maintain relevant data
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
  • Maintain HR systems and support reporting needs
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing employee data (e.g., surveys, onboarding feedback)
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
