Job Description:
The HR Generalist plays a critical role in the day-to-day people operations of John Muir Health and specifically for the HR team. The HR Generalist will partner with the Manager of Employee and Labor Relations, the HR Business Partners and the Senior HR Assistant – Employee Relations on tactical and strategic HR programs and initiatives.
Education:
Experience:
3 years Human Resources Generalist or other HR experience - Required
2 years Human Resources - Program Development - Required
2 years Human Resources - Management and employee coaching and counseling experience - Preferred
2 years Employee and Labor Relations experience - Preferred
Health Care experience strongly - Preferred
Skills:
General knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines including compensation practices, organizational assessment, employee and labor relations, belonging and equity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws highly desired.
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Strong ability to build/generate reports and analyze data and metrics
Exerience with HRIS (Workday and Kronos experience preferred)
Exposure to performance and conflict management situations
Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret HR policies
Ability to work independently, problem solve and use critical thinking skills
Strong and professional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop strong, trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
A high degree of organizational skills, ability to set priorities, successfully manage multiple demands and the demonstrated ability to complete tasks under strict time lines.
Must have own transportation as commuting between regional JMH locations is required.
Show initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, and motivated.

Pay Range:
$36.11 - $54.16
Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
