Human Resources Intern

BCB Bank offers a paid summer internship program for college students designed to provide a comprehensive look at the banking industry through both individual and collaborative work. Each summer the internship experience is unique. This internship provides an overview of careers in the banking field. It is designed to provide meaningful professional development and insight into how the department supports a financial services organization.


The HR intern gets a front-row seat to how our HR department supports our different business units. Through various day-to-day administrative tasks, recruiting & onboarding activities, employee records/HRIS, employment trainings and special HR projects, the HR intern gains hands-on exposure to human resources in a banking field. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing a career in HR, organizational development, or related fields.


Responsibilities

  • General HR Support
  • Support the HR recruitment process with onboarding projects.
  • Learn to create and generate reports to support HR requests.
  • Assist with creating, revising, and formatting job descriptions.
  • Coordinate pre-orientation logistics (System access lists, forms, printouts, etc)


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma/GED is required.
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution.
  • Ability to work 37.5 hours per week for the duration of the program.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Lobby/professional office environment with moderate sound.
  • Ability to travel to branches and offices, off-site training, and/or meetings as needed.


Schedule

  • The duration is May 26th – August 7th.
  • Interns work 37.5 hours per week.
