Human Resources Manager

Overview
Curant Health is seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as a strategic and operational leader in our Smyrna, GA location.

The HR Manager at Curant Health serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the Human Resources team. Reporting directly to the Sr. HR Director, the HR Manager partners with leadership to execute human resources strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering an engaged, high-performing workforce.

Responsibilities

The HR Manager acts as the primary liaison between HR staff and senior leadership, translating organizational goals into actionable HR priorities.

HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with the Sr. HR Director and leadership to translate business goals into actionable HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead and develop the HR team, establish KPIs, and ensure high-quality, consistent HR service delivery.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational development while driving continuous process improvement.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Provide oversight and strategic direction to full-cycle recruiting, including requisition management, compensation alignment, and offer approvals.
  • Monitor and present recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, diversity goals) to drive data-informed hiring decisions.
  • Lead workforce planning efforts and ensure compliance with AAP, EEO, ADA, and federal/state hiring regulations.

Training, Learning & Development

  • Oversee development and delivery of onboarding, compliance, leadership, and ongoing training programs aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Analyze training effectiveness metrics and implement curriculum improvements to close performance gaps.
  • Ensure training documentation and compliance records are accurately maintained in LMS and HRIS systems.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Lead complex employee relations investigations, including disciplinary actions, PIPs, terminations, and unemployment hearings.
  • Coach managers on performance management, progressive discipline, and legal compliance.
  • Analyze exit interview data and provide retention insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Benefits, Payroll & Leaves Administration

  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, benefits administration, and HRIS data accuracy in partnership with the HR Generalist.
  • Manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, ADA, Workers’ Compensation), ensuring compliance and clear employee communication.
  • Maintain vendor and broker relationships, ensuring accountability, accuracy, and responsiveness.

Compliance, Policies & HR Records

  • Ensure HR policies, handbooks, and procedures remain legally compliant and aligned with federal, state, and accreditation standards (URAC).
  • Oversee employee record audits and required compliance reporting (AAP, EEO-1).
  • Monitor employment law updates and proactively mitigate compliance risks.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Lead engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Analyze engagement and pulse survey data, develop action plans, and present findings to leadership.
  • Serve as a visible, trusted HR presence across the organization.

Office Operations

  • Provide oversight to Office Operations Administrators, ensuring smooth facilities, vendor, and compliance management.
  • Approve operational decisions related to space planning, contracts, and equipment purchases.
  • Ensure departmental compliance audits are completed timely and findings are reported appropriately.

Qualifications (Education and/or Experience):

  • Five (5) + years of progressive HR experience in a generalist capacity with focused experience conducting employee relations investigations, handling employee relations issues, training, employee and organizational development, payroll, benefits administration, experience a plus.
  • Three (3) + years in a HR supervisory or management capacity overseeing multiple HR functions or staff members required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/People Operations, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Sociology, or a related field and/or Master’s degree/MBA strongly preferred.
  • HR Certification strongly preferred: HR Generalist, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines including talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, benefits and payroll administration, leave of absences, recruiting, compensation, organizational/learning development, workforce planning and audit/compliance matters.
  • Thorough, working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations such FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA, WC and HIPAA as applicable and the confidence to apply them in real situations.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience and strong use of PowerPoint presentation skills required.
  • UKG experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
