Human Resources Manager (Events / Contracting / Fit-out)

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager will lead end-to-end HR operations for Media Land’s Egypt business, supporting a fast-paced events, exhibitions, fit-out and production environment. This role is responsible for hiring and supporting both creative/marketing roles and operations/production/site teams , ensuring strong employee experience, compliant HR governance, and scalable people practices aligned with Media Land standards and business growth.


Key Responsibilities


1) Talent Acquisition (Core Priority)

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for roles across:

  • Events & Exhibitions (Project Coordinators, PMO, Production Leads, Site Supervisors, Installers, Fabricators, Carpenters, Painters, Logistics, HSE support)
  • Creative & Design (3D Designers, Graphic Designers, Visualizers)
  • Commercial & Corporate (Sales, Account Management, Procurement, Finance, Admin, technical, Engineering) Or any other roles, once required for Medi Land group.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring timelines, interview panels, and evaluation criteria.
  • Build scalable sourcing pipelines for high-demand roles (including freelancers/contractors where required).
  • Ensure consistent hiring practices, documentation, and onboarding readiness.


2) HR Operations, Employee Lifecycle & System Management

  • Lead onboarding for employees and project-based hires, ensuring complete documentation, orientation, and probation tracking.
  • Manage offboarding resignations/end-of-contract, clearance coordination, exit interviews, and final documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Support HR operations through HR systems (e.g., Bayzat for HR administration/employee records/leave where applicable and Microsoft Dynamics for reporting, workflow, or business process integration as used by the company).


3) Employee Relations & Disciplinary Management

  • Manage employee relations matters (grievances, investigations, conflicts), ensuring fair and compliant outcomes aligned with Egyptian labor law and company policies.
  • Manage disciplinary matters using a fair, documented approach aligned with policy and legal requirements.
  • Support operations managers during peak event seasons on workforce planning, attendance management, weekend work tracking, and proper approvals to avoid disputes.


4) Policy Implementation & Localisation (Egypt + Operational Reality)

  • Implement and localize HR policies in Egypt by making sure that Labour law is strictly followed, ensuring they are practical for event delivery operations, including:
  • weekend work / overtime / comp-off tracking and approvals
  • site-based work requirements and shift planning
  • urgent operational staffing needs
  • Ensure approval workflows are followed through formal channels to maintain accurate HR records.


5) HR Reporting & People Insights

  • Prepare monthly HR reports/dashboards for Egypt leadership: headcount, recruitment pipeline, turnover, probation, leave/attendance trends, and ER tracker.
  • Use data from HR systems ( BAYZAT/ Microsoft Dynamics and supporting trackers) to provide insights and recommendations.


6) Compliance & Governance (Egypt)

  • Ensure compliance with Egyptian labour law and internal governance across contracts, leave, attendance, disciplinary documentation, and employee files.
  • Partner with Finance/Admin/Legal as needed to ensure accurate, compliant processes and documentation.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • 15+ years progressive HR experience; Events, contacting or Design Industry exposure is mandatory.
  • Strong experience hiring sales/marketing/media/creative roles and exposure to operations/production/site-based roles (events/exhibitions/fit-out/manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong HR operations capability, including HR system usage and data discipline.
  • Experience using HR platforms such as Bayzat and/or ERP/HR tools such as Microsoft Dynamics is a strong advantage.
  • Business-level English and Arabic required.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a delivery-driven environment.
