We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic HR Manager who thrives in building strong systems, supporting leaders, and creating an exceptional employee experience in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment.
As the HR Manager for ACD.net, you will operate as a department of one, blending day-to-day execution with long-term strategy to oversee the full scope of HR functions for our 100-person team. This role is deeply involved in every aspect of the employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to compliance, benefits administration, and payroll backup—ensuring our telecommunications infrastructure is supported by a world-class workforce.
Position Responsibilities
As a vital member of the leadership team, you will work alongside the CEO, President, and department managers to build a compliant, supportive, and people-centered workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Talent Management: Manage recruitment from postings and sourcing to interviews, background checks, offers, and a welcoming onboarding experience.
- Technical & Field Compliance: Oversee HR compliance and safety documentation for our technical field staff and multi-site operations.
- Benefits & Payroll: Administer employee benefits (enrollments, open enrollment, vendor relations) and serve as the essential payroll back-up to ensure accuracy and continuity.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to managers and staff on performance, conduct, and conflict resolution, fostering a culture of accountability and empathy.
- Compliance & Policy: Maintain personnel files, manage FMLA/leave processes, and ensure all operations align with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain HR systems and lead training initiatives on compliance and workplace practices to support a growing, multi-site environment.
- Offboarding: Manage the exit process, including interviews, final pay, and compliance documentation.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Master’s degree and/or HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.
- Field Staff Familiarity: Understanding of HR requirements for technical/field-based employees is a significant advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of HR compliance (FMLA, ADA, FLSA).
- Experience with payroll systems; ability to partner with Finance as a reliable backup.
- Hands-on experience with background checks and exit processes.

Pay: $69,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
