Human Resources Officer

Job Purpose:

The HR Officer is responsible for managing a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee data management, compensation and benefits, and policy compliance. This generalist role combines responsibilities from Talent Acquisition and Compensation & Benefits to provide comprehensive HR support across the organization (onboarding & offboarding).

Roles, Responsibilities & Duties

1. Recruitment, Onboarding, and Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Support the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process to fill vacancies within stipulated timeframes.
  • Source candidates through various portals and manage advertising on platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Conduct screening, schedule interviews, and administer aptitude and psychometric tests.
  • Ensure compliance with Emiratization recruitment targets.
  • Prepare and issue corporate offer letters, ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Oversee onboarding processes, including document collection, orientation sessions, and coordination with IT and Admin for new joiner setups.
  • Manage employee folders for new joiners and transfers, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
  • Handle internal transfers, promotions, and changes in employment terms, preparing necessary memos and ICRF forms.

2. Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll Administration

  • Prepare and maintain monthly payroll, including processing additions, deductions, and final settlements.
  • Administer employee benefits, such as housing loans, educational allowances, annual air tickets, overtime payments, and per diem reimbursements for business and training trips.
  • Conduct job evaluations, market benchmarking, and develop job grades and salary scales in collaboration with external consultants.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including MOHRE WPS.

3. HRIS and Employee Data Management

  • Maintain and update employee master data in SAP HCM/SAP SF, ensuring accurate system engagement and disengagement.
  • Coordinate with Modon Holding HR and SAP teams for system developments as required.
  • Ensure all employment records and updates are accurately filed and archived for reference.

4. Policy Compliance and Reporting

  • Adhere to UAE labor laws and Modon’s recruitment and HR policies.
  • Participate in career fairs, university partnerships, and internship programs.
  • Develop recruitment trackers and provide regular HR reports and updates to management.

5. General HR Support

  • Oversee medical insurance management, including group policy renewals, staff additions/cancellations, and supplier payment processes.
  • Collaborate with department heads on manpower planning and organizational structure updates.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure timely resolution of HR-related queries and provide guidance on compensation and benefits matters.
  • Ensure effective offboarding of employees.

Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Modon health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Stay updated on HSE policies and practices introduced by Modon HSE Department.
  • Take personal responsibility for compliance with all HSE updates.

Information Security Responsibilities

  • Comply with Modon Information Security Policies.
  • Be aware of and fulfill individual information security responsibilities.
  • Ensure anyone handling sensitive company information has completed Security Awareness Training.
  • Report security incidents to IT ServiceDesk.
  • Do not disable OS firewall or antivirus.
  • Restrict use to authorized purposes and protect account credentials.
  • Maintain accountability for individual user accounts and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related HR/Management specialization.
  • Certified HR Professional preferred (CIPD Level 3 or 5, SHRM CP/SCP, or PHRi/SPHRi).
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration/Management/HR is a plus.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in HR roles covering recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Preferable experience in the Asset Management industry.
