Summary:
The Sr. Learning Technology Specialist provides day-to-day administration, maintenance and analysis of learning technologies including learning management system (LMS) and experience platforms. Will lead multiple complex projects related to learning technology and collaborate with stakeholders to accomplish project goals and objectives. May, on occasion, facilitate learning events related to learning technology. Collaborates with unit/division leadership to understand business goals, objectives and challenges, and has a deep knowledge of all components, features and functions of the LMS. Consults internally to recommend learning technology solutions, well-coordinated logistics and configures reporting to inform critical decisions. Stays abreast of industry standards and best practice to enable continuous innovation in learning technology in support of organizational initiatives and goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Consults with unit/division leadership to understand business goals, objectives, and challenges; and provide learning technology insights to business solutions and challenges.
  • Leads multiple complex projects related to learning technology and collaborate with stakeholders to accomplish project goals and objectives. May, on occasion, facilitate learning events related to learning technology.
  • Apply a deep understanding of all components, features and functions of the LMS to help business units leverage learning technology to help solve business problems. Advise leadership on how to best utilize learning technology to support the mission, vision, values, strategy and goals of Children's Health. Explains complex technology in an easily understood manner.
  • Act as the liaison to internal and external customers to ensure smooth operation and collaboration among entities. Examples include Children’s Hospital Association (CHA), Children’s IS Department, external content vendors, and other entities that intersect with learning technology.
  • Provide reports and analysis to ensure learning and development initiatives accomplish intended goals and missions. Identify and report on trends related to technical support issues while advising and empowering help desk personnel in problem solving. Leverage reports and learning data to help leaders gain insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • Lead the technical and functional oversight of the day-to-day administration, operation, maintenance, usage, and analysis of learning management systems and experience platforms.
  • Monitor organizational, industry and LMS changes and system/process updates; revise training programs to incorporate changes. Update and improve one’s knowledge and skills pertaining to the LMS, learning technology and related fields.

WORK EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5 years LMS administrative duties required
  • Strong track record of successfully managing learning technology and learning consultation engagements in complex organizations required

EDUCATION
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Cornerstone on Demand certified preferred
