Summary
Performs paraprofessional work related to a specialized area of personnel management; collects, processes, and audits human resource data; produces a variety of reports; provides technical support.
Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.

Three (3) years of experience with an HR focus and/or performing technical data management-related duties.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.

Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and policies of human resources.

Proficiency in the use of technology.

Ability to compile, process, and analyze data and reporting.

Attention to detail; ability to think critically and exercise good judgment.

Ability to work quickly and accurately with quantitative information and verify the correctness of actions.

Ability to work independently and exercise initiative.

Major Duties/Essential Functions
- Provides paraprofessional assistance to one or more specialists and is assigned section- or office-wide technical duties within a human resources specialty.

Relieves specialists of routine and repetitive technical or analytical tasks.

Utilizes available computer technology and equipment to accomplish tasks.

Reviews, processes, and reconciles documents, forms, and maintains records of related business transactions.

Gathers, tabulates, and categorizes data for reports.

Generates statistical, informational, and other reports from databases and systems.

Audits transactional employment data and confirms supporting calculations to ensure systems accuracy.

Accumulates specialized work experience and technical knowledge in a field of specialty, and performs work with a high degree of independence.

Responds to general inquiries and provides technical and customer support related to assigned human resource functions.

Performs related duties as required or assigned.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
