Responsibilities/Duties
Maintenance Activities
- Maintain HVAC and Tunnel Ventilation systems in compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support for the maintenance of Electrical systems, including troubleshooting issues with HVAC systems, filters, fans, and ducts.
- Implement routine inspections and maintenance on Electrical systems to ensure proper and safe operation.
- Monitor the inventory of materials and equipment for maintenance activities.
Troubleshooting and Repair
- Manage and supervise repair works on damaged assets using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Perform emergency repairs efficiently and promptly.
- Conduct corrective maintenance by identifying and resolving malfunctions.
- Assist in rehabilitating existing railway assets to extend their service life and improve safety.
- Perform necessary installations, inspections, tests, and maintenance tasks as required.
- Analyze and report on asset conditions through detailed assessments and evaluations to identify necessary interventions.
Technical Analysis
- Conduct performance analysis and simulations to optimize system efficiency and functionality.
- Respond to electrical failures by diagnosing root causes and recommending corrective actions to restore system functionality.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budgets and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
Team Management
- Manage HVAC technicians and assistant technicians, ensuring effective collaboration with contractors and other engineering disciplines.
Documentation
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and user manuals.
- Track maintenance logs, equipment failures, and corrective actions, ensuring accurate record-keeping for future reference.
- Validate and report inspection, maintenance, and repair activities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Analyze and report on the condition of railway structures, recommending necessary maintenance or upgrades.
- Manage team rosters and shifts effectively.
Collaboration
- Work closely with technicians and engineers to ensure the timely resolution of Electrical maintenance issues.
- Interface with operations and maintenance teams to support their activities.
- Participate in the development and implementation of engineering goals, objectives, and policies.
Field Surveys and Assessments
- Conduct field surveys and assessments to collect data for engineering studies or project planning.
- Support new project implementation by providing insights into existing infrastructure conditions.
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to service calls, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Inspection
- Carry out regular inspections to assess equipment condition and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Test operational systems and emergency features to verify functionality.
Safety
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct safety audits and participate in incident investigations to improve safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety rules and immediately report any safety or environmental issues to Executive Maintenance.
Quality Assurance
- Implement quality control measures to ensure all maintenance work meets company standards and industry regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance techniques to enhance service quality.
Maximo
- Validate and report accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs performed using the Maximo CMMS system.
- Ensure that all data related to assets, work orders, and maintenance actions are accurately entered into Maximo for future analysis and decision-making.
Other Responsibilities
- Adhere to 5S and lean manufacturing principles to optimize workplace efficiency and cleanliness.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
- Availability to work after hours when required.
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
Knowledge
- General technical knowledge relevant to HVAC, electrical systems, and maintenance processes.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, such as Maximo.
- Proficiency in communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in both English (fluent in speaking and reading) and Arabic is essential.
Experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in maintenance operations and project management.
- Experience in a change management culture.
- Proven experience in improving methods, systems, and overall quality.
- Familiarity with CMMS/BMS systems (Maximo preferred).
