We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a
HVAC Engineer.
This is a contract role. Please see details below.
Title:
HVAC Engineer
Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Qatar Onshore (Site)
Working Schedule: 5 days per week / 8-10 hours per day or as per project requirement
Key Job Accountabilities

Providing Technical support to all company Assets to ensure Asset Integrity and flawless service of HVAC systems.

Design review of shop drawings, materials submittals, and HVAC packages. Expectation is to provide multidiscipline and systemic HVAC expertise to manage life cycle of HVAC systems.

Capable of doing all necessary calculations and assessments for different HVAC systems.

Managing the end-to-end engineering solutions related to the HVAC aspects.

Attend all design meetings and technical workshops.

Ensuring that the designs and project drawings meet the local regulations and international standards, and safety codes.

Capable of performing economic/financial evaluation and feasibility studies for different systems.

Review and Develop equipment strategies to ensure continuity of service and optimum performance of HVAC systems. Perform site activities such as supervision & inspection.

Meeting the requirements of the company’s business plan and objectives.

Monitoring and supervising activities related to the HVAC Design and recommend projects / suggestions to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

Ensuring the consultants / contractors is delivering detailed designs according to the Company’s standards Requirements.
Qualifications
--Minimum Requirements--
-
Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Specialization in HVAC systems preferred.
Knowledge and Key Skills
-
Minimum 12 years’ experience in a similar role within the GCC.

Excellent technical capabilities in design submittals/ loading assumptions, calculations and drawings.

Previous proven experience in a HVAC Projects related to oil & gas industry.

Fluency in English is essential, along with excellent communication skills

Capable of using latest industry software such as HAP & Revit, In addition to full comprehensive knowledge & application experience of local & international codes and standards such as, ASHRAE, NFPA, ASPE, CIBSE, British Standards, QCS and GCC local regulations.

Very strong team working skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
