HVAC Estimator

Job Summary
1. **Review Project Plans and Specifications:**

- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.

2. **Cost Estimation:**

- Calculate the costs of labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.

- Develop detailed estimates for HVAC systems, including components such as ducts, piping, controls, and insulation.

3. **Bid Preparation:**

- Prepare bid proposals that outline the estimated costs and timelines.

- Ensure compliance with all legal and contractual obligations and industry standards.

4. **Vendor and Supplier Coordination:**

- Obtain pricing and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

- Assess and select vendors to provide the best value.

]6. **Collaboration with Project Teams:**

- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to verify project requirements and clarify uncertainties.

- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.

7. **Risk Analysis:**

- Identify potential risks and factors that could affect project costs and timelines.

- Develop contingency plans and cost contingencies.

8. **Document Management:**

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all estimates, bids, and contracts.

- Update and manage the database of cost-related information.

9. **Client Interaction:**

- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide answers to any questions regarding estimates.

- Present and justify estimates during client meetings.

10. **Continuous Improvement:**

- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing models, and technical advancements.

- Analyze past projects to improve future estimating practices and accuracies.
