HVAC Service Manager

HVAC Service Manager Wanted: Lead the Crew, Set the Tone, Get the Job Done

Alright, let’s get one thing straight.

This is not
a desk-sitter job. If you’re looking to hide behind spreadsheets, avoid tough conversations, or blame the thermostat when things go sideways—this probably isn’t your gig.

But if you’re the kind of leader who:

  • Holds people accountable and has their back
  • Knows that coaching builds teams faster than volume ever will
  • Believes clean trucks, sharp uniforms, and happy customers actually matter

…then pull up a chair. We should talk.

What This Role Is Really About

As our HVAC Service Manager
, you’re the thermostat for the team. When you’re steady, focused, and dialed in—the whole department runs better.

You’ll lead the service team by driving performance, reinforcing our Care & Solve
process, and making sure every call is done right the first time. Your mission is simple (but not easy): build a high-performing team that customers love and techs are proud to be part of.

What You’ll Be Doing (a.k.a. Your Day-to-Day Dad Duties)

  • Run weekly KPI reviews that actually mean something—creating healthy competition and clear expectations (no mystery math).
  • Lead weekly trainings and bi-weekly Care & Solve trainings so the team keeps getting better, not just busier.
  • Complete monthly safety training yourself and make sure the team does the same—because nobody likes paperwork caused by preventable injuries.
  • Conduct at least one ride-along per week with lower-performing techs to coach, correct, and raise the bar (this is leadership, not micromanaging).
  • Review invoices, estimates, and memberships daily to spot coaching opportunities and protect quality.
  • Handle escalated customer issues immediately, working across departments to make things right—fast and to Call Dad standards.
  • Perform monthly truck inventory counts and partner with your Regional Manager to resolve any gaps.
  • Make sure vehicles and uniforms look sharp and meet brand standards—because first impressions still matter.
  • Hold monthly one-on-ones that build trust, coach performance, and strengthen relationships.
  • Use the PDP process to help employees reach their professional and personal goals.
  • Respond to calls, texts, and messages within one hour (ghosting is for teenagers, not managers).

How We Measure Success (No Guessing Games)

You’ll be accountable for key metrics like:

  • Service revenue and conversion rates
  • Membership conversions
  • Team KPI performance (80% of standards hit)
  • Customer complaints (kept under control)
  • 5 star Google reviews
  • Maintaining daily open capacity

If numbers aren’t your thing, don’t worry—we’ll help you learn them. If avoiding numbers is your thing… this won’t end well.

The Dad Values We Expect You to Live By

We don’t just talk culture—we expect you to model it:

  • Serve Like Family
    – customers and teammates alike
  • Small Acts; Big Impacts – details matter
  • Foster Communication – say it early, say it clearly
  • Cultivate Curiosity – always be learning
  • Keep It Fun – work is serious, but it doesn’t have to be miserable

Who This Role Is Perfect For

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Have strong HVAC service experience and leadership chops
  • Can coach, correct, and motivate without losing your cool
  • Believe standards exist for a reason—and enforce them fairly
  • Care about customers, culture, and results (in that order)

If you’re the leader techs respect, customers trust, and ownership relies on—we want you.

The Payoff

You’ll get:

  • A leadership role with real authority and real expectations
  • A team you can shape and grow
  • Support from leadership that believes in accountability and development
  • The satisfaction of running a service department that actually works

If you’re ready to lead from the front, raise the standard, and leave things better than you found them—apply now.

Dad’s watching.
