HVAC Supervisor

Job Summary:

The HVAC Supervisor oversees the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role ensures work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local and national codes. The supervisor provides leadership to a team of HVAC technicians and ensures the highest level of service and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of HVAC technicians and subcontractors.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and manage repair operations for HVAC systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems and guide technicians on repairs.
• Maintain inventory of HVAC tools, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate HVAC staff performance.
• Prepare and manage project estimates, budgets, and reports.
• Collaborate with other departments (electrical, plumbing, construction, etc.) to coordinate projects.
• Ensure timely response to emergency service calls and after-hours support when necessary.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification in HVAC (EPA Certification, HVAC License, etc.) required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive HVAC experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and local mechanical codes.
• Proficiency in using HVAC software systems and MS Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

• May be exposed to loud noises, extreme temperatures, and airborne particles.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends, or on-call hours during emergencies.
• Physical demands include standing, climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
