Hydraulic Laboratory Senior Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of commercial proposals, including scoping, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Oversee day-to-day execution of physical modelling and research studies, including budget control.
• Communicate with members of the physical modelling team and laboratory operations team.
• Represent NMDC at conferences and workshops, presenting study results and insights.
• Design physical models and specify appropriate instrumentation.
• Supervise and check model construction.
• Verify primary data generated by studies.
• Analyze project data to provide input for project reports.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety and quality assurance procedures.
• Write and review project reports and other deliverables (drawings, etc.).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Civil, Coastal, or Maritime Engineering, Physics, or Oceanography is required, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Engineering and Design within related industries, including at least 3 years in a Physical Modelling Hydraulic Laboratory.
