Job Purpose

The ICT IGCSE Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in accordance with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum. The role aims to develop students’ digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and practical ICT competencies while maintaining high academic and professional standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging and effective ICT lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus.
  • Plan lessons, schemes of work, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Teach both theoretical concepts and practical ICT skills.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments and IGCSE examinations.

Assessment & Reporting

  • Design and mark assessments, classwork, homework, and examinations.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate student records and assessment data.
  • Prepare reports and attend parent-teacher meetings when required.

Classroom & Lab Management

  • Ensure the ICT lab is used safely, responsibly, and effectively.
  • Promote responsible use of technology and digital citizenship.
  • Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.

Curriculum Development

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and continuous improvement.
  • Integrate new technologies and teaching methodologies where appropriate.
  • Stay updated with Cambridge IGCSE ICT syllabus changes.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support whole-school initiatives.
  • Adhere to school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional conduct standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
