Job Title: Medical Officer (Emergency & ICU) - MBBS

Healthcare — Hospital & Acute Care Services. This role supports high-acuity emergency and intensive care operations at a busy acute-care facility in Cuttack, Odisha. The position is on-site and focused on delivering safe, protocol-driven clinical care during 8-hour duty shifts under consultant supervision.
Role & Responsibilities

Provide on-site clinical assessment, triage, stabilization and initial management of emergency and critically ill patients during assigned 8-hour shifts under consultant guidance.

Perform emergency procedures and interventions as indicated (airway management, intubation, line insertion, ventilator adjustments) following hospital protocols.

Initiate resuscitation, administer emergency medications, interpret ECGs and escalates care promptly to consultants for complex decisions.

Continuously monitor ICU patients—record vitals, document changes, implement orders and coordinate handovers to incoming teams or consultants.

Support multidisciplinary rounds, assist in executing treatment plans, and carry out routine critical-care tasks (blood gas sampling, inotropic titration, infection-control measures).

Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensure medication and device safety, and follow institutional SOPs for escalation, referrals and discharge planning.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

MBBS qualification

Valid registration with State Medical Council / NMC

Demonstrated clinical experience in Emergency Department or ICU settings

Current BLS and ACLS certification

Ability to work on-site 8-hour shifts including nights and weekends

Proficiency with hospital documentation and handover protocols
Preferred

Prior postings or training specifically in critical care or emergency medicine

Certification or short-course in critical care (e.g., IDCCM / emergency care courses)

Familiarity with Indian hospital triage systems and ICU workflow
